An extended opening credit edit for the TV series, M*A*S*H, set to Johnny Mandel & Mike Altman’s vocal version of the theme, “Suicide Is Painless”, from the feature film.
Back when the DVD’s for the M*A*S*H TV series were being released in the early 2000’s, I figured it would be fun to edit an extended version of the opening using the Suicide Is Painless song from the 1970 feature film. The TV episode Dear Dad from the first season of the show closes with credits for the actors over footage of them, so that was handy for working into this edit. The concept and edit is pretty simple and didn’t take me long to throw together.
