For crying out loud. I am royally miffed now. OK, so this wasn’t completely unexpected, but it does kinda come outta nowhere at this point. The WB used to be a great network, but I just can’t figure them out these days. It’s easy to slam them at a time like this, and I’ll try to restrain myself. With the announcement a bit ago of them doing a new series for Dark Shadows, us Angel fans were of the notion that “sure, fine, they can do another vampire show – no problem.” Now, through their own stupid timing, with Angel being interestingly dropped at the same time that Dark Shadows starts, I want to see Dark Shadows die a fast, brutal painful death. I hope it gets a sharp, pointy wooden thing jabbed through the heart. I understood them giving up Buffy, due to financial constraints and the likes. Was this something of the same? (It was after the fifth season after all). If not, I don’t get it. Angel was doing well enough in the ratings to stay alive. It was really taking a new direction in where it was going, and I was really getting into the new feel of the show. Then, suddenly, kablam, it’s dead. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, arghhhhhhhhhh…
