Ponderings For 2007-11-29
- Futurama’s “1% Rule” - something that is definitely true. If more shows would realize how well this approach works, there would be far more TV shows that are great fun to analyze. Personally, I love shows that are fearless about using references and jokes that are sure to whiz right by most of the audience. Gilmore Girls was a prime example of the reference approach to this, and Futurama is easily king of the buried geek joke. If reading that Wired article isn’t proof enough of that fact, than just watch the show closely.
- Katee Sackhoff counters rumors about Bionic Woman. It’s all academic at this point anyway, since the smart money is on the show not surviving for any more produced episodes…
- Road kill toys. Gots to gets me some of these for peoples as gifts.
- Scott Adams reports on “What happens in Vegas…“
- Sometimes it’s the angle that matters
- “Is is always illegal to kill a woman?” Good grief.
