Ponderings For 2007-02-15
- Avatar will reteam James Cameron and Sigourney Weaver. How cool is that?
- Holy cow! This will blow your mind. Too wild.
- Then whatever’s left of your mind will be left spinning by this.
- The RIAA promotes P2P pirating! Ha ha. Too funny.
- Should come as no surprise that Scott Adams is easily amused
- The excellent TVShowsOnDVD.com site is now a TV Guide site. Not sure how I feel about that.
- What do you know? Apparently a good percentage of music label execs aren’t nearly as stupid as they would seem.
- Peter Ellenshaw, an old-school visual effects pioneer, died on Tuesday at the age of 93. He was the father of Harrison Ellenshaw (whose birth name was also Peter, btw), the visual effects director of Tron - one of my favorite films. Together, the two of them have spanned a great many decades providing amazing visual effects and animation work at Disney.
- Good grief. Don’t supposed these guys are getting some uncomfortable but profitable, free advertising.
- Now, if only the outsourced customer support personnel were held up to the same restrictions.
- So, Vista’s ultra-annoying UAC isn’t a true security measure after all. Figures.
- The problem with fiction is that it can’t measure up to the kind of bizarro stories that reality can come up with.
- Yeah, I wouldn’t wanna use something as unlucky as Microsoft Office 13
- Wouldn’t mind having a few of these puppies
- Apparently this program portrays things that are perfectly acceptable for adults, though.
- Amazon could learn a thing or two about fixing their own mistakes.
- Ah, good, yet another idiotically formulated government regulation on web usage. Morons.
- That’s what he gets for not attaching his cell phone to his mittens.
- Review for Music & Lyrics added to the list of pending reviews. It’s been added with a score of 8 to my list of 2007 films. I liked it more than I thought I would. Hugh Grant is almost frighteningly too perfect a casting choice.
Dialog Of The Day: “That’s something to consider - a stupid alien. Well, they must have them.” (Beth Halperin, played by Sharon Stone in the underrated Sphere)
Video Of The Day: Rocket scooter - the cool way to travel.
