• Peter Ellenshaw, an old-school visual effects pioneer, died on Tuesday at the age of 93. He was the father of Harrison Ellenshaw (whose birth name was also Peter, btw), the visual effects director of Tron - one of my favorite films. Together, the two of them have spanned a great many decades providing amazing visual effects and animation work at Disney.
