Ponderings For 2007-02-14
- Merry Valentines Day
- Woo hoo! Another giant step towards stripping HD-DVD/Blu-Ray of DRM crap.
- A great interview with artist Jason Palmer. Who’s Jason Palmer, you might ask? He is a fantastically talented artist who has been doing some amazing Firefly & Serenity art prints that fans adore. I have the Serenity print, and it’s stunning. He recently did a Battlestar print that I’ll be getting some day soon. It’s beautiful.
- While this comes as no big surprise, it’s still good to officially hear: Battlestar Galactica gets the official season 4 renewal.
- Part 2 & part 3 of GeekMonthly.com’s interview with Tim Minear about Drive are up
- Some more classic Doctor Who heads to DVD. Keep it comin’…
- Talk about a ruggedized laptop. Stops a bullet.
- The InPhase holographic storage platform launches, starting with 300gb discs (to eventually ramp up to 1.6tb)
- For you fellow IT folks, Microsoft’s WSUS 3.0 has hit the release candidate mark
- My DVD database passed the 2,500 mark this week
Dialog Of The Day: “She drives me crazy. I know that she’s my mother and I should appreciate her and she’s gonna be dead some day. It’d just be so much easier if I knew when.” (Kat Warbler, played by Lizzie Kaplan in The Class 1.14)
Video Of The Day: A skydiver survives an 80mph landing with a failed parachute. Amazing video.
